DIY Garden in a Mint Tin

Don’t throw it away! If it holds soil and has drainage it’s a planter. Do-it-yourself mint tin gardens are perfect for small spaces, windowsills or passed along as gifts. Plus they’re easy to make.

Grow succulents, sprouts or experiment with other, shallow rooting plants. This is where the adventure starts.

In this video I use a drill when adding the drain holes, however, you can also use a hammer or soft mallet and a nail to achieve the same result.

Note: when transplanting succulents, wait a few days after planting to water.
