Pass The Pistil Giveaway: Gilmour’s Top 5 Watering Tools

Pass The Pistil Giveaway: Gilmour’s Top 5 Watering Tools

Once you’ve had a taste of the right tool for the job, it’s hard to go backwards — especially when it comes to watering. In fact, one of the questions I hear most commonly is how should I water my garden? Or how much do I water my garden and when is enough, enough?

Enter to win a set of Gilmour’s top 5 watering tools to help get watering right. I’ve teamed up with Gilmour to giveaway nearly $100 of watering supplies, some of their best an easiest tools to use. These same tools are featured in the Gilmour Facebook live events hosted by me this spring and summer.

See the Facebook live episodes with suggestions for how best to water and use the tools featured in this giveaway here.

Gilmour has been manufacturing hoses and watering tools in the US since the 1950’s and I’ve found their tools to be not only durable and long lasting, they also make caring for your garden and landscape enjoyable (I love good tools). In this bunch you’ll find the Flexogen Super Duty Hose, Pattern Master Circular Sprinkler, Thumb Control Watering Nozzle, Brass Quick Connectors, and Bubbler.

To enter to win:

Simply leave a comment if you’re already a subscriber. (Thank you!)

The winner will be randomly selected on Monday, July 17th, at noon and announced during the next Gilmour Facebook live beginning at 1pm CT. I’ll be there to shout out the name of the lucky winner, live on the Gilmour Facebook page.

Gilmour Watering Tools Giveaway Collection

Gilmour’s Pattern Master Circular Sprinkler is uniquely designed to water an irregularly shaped garden space. The red ring around the base of the sprinkler is easily adjusted to customize the spray pattern, directing water where you need it most.

The patented 8 layer construction of the Flexogen Super Duty Hose make it both strong and light. The bonus is its kink resistant design, allowing you to drag your hose around your yard and water frustration free.

Wash your car and water seedlings without having to switch tools thanks to the Thumb Control Watering Nozzle. It has 8 different spray patterns and a thumb control level, controlling water flow with a touch, eliminating squeezing.

I often wonder what I did before adding these Brass Quick Connectors to my tool box. Attach them to your hose and watering tools to effortlessly swap a sprinkler for a nozzle or bubbler.

The Gilmour Bubbler provides a gentle, steady stream of water to delicate plants, trees, shrubs, and even your tomatoes, watering right at the root zone. It reduces water waste, protects soil structure, and delivers the right amount of water where you need it most.

Subscribe to the Pass The Pistil newsletter using the giveaway widget below and leave a comment for extra entries, sharing a note or watering tip to help other gardeners, and you’ll be entered to win this set of watering tools generously supplied by Gilmour. If you’re already a subscriber, simply leave a comment. Again, the giveaway ends July 17th at noon CT, and the winner will be announced during Gilmour’s next Facebook live (hosted by me!) at 1pm CT.

Great post. We try to weed the garden every chance we get and keep the lawn maintained. Thank you!

Hose issues/troubles drive me crazy! The one lesson I’ve learned is you get what you pay for. I’ve gone to the store, purchased cheap supplies that you can see aren’t built well, and it’s not even worth it. You end up fighting and struggling with your hose, and it’s just a mess. Ugh, not fun! The bubbler looks great, I would love to give that a try. I’m in the market for a good sprinkler right now, and the Pattern Master Circular Sprinkler looks great! Thanks for the great giveaway :)

I’m currently doing all hand watering. It takes forever, but like HH mentioned, it’s a good opportunity to check in with everything on a regular basis. Sometimes I water container plants from the bottom with a saucer of water. This seems especially helpful for containers that tend to dry out quickly.

Hi Maggie, thanks for writing! I love that trick too! So helpful, and then you know your plants are getting just the right amount of water. xo

I like to water my plants at the end of the day so that the sun doesn’t dry out the water instantly.

I could use a reliable watering tool. It seems all the ones I have are broken in some way. These sound like they are very well made. I do have a lot to water so, some great tools would be wonderful. thank you!

I have always watered in the morning and save rainwater in a garbage can converted into a rain bucket just for that job.

I am watering by wand only this year. Takes a long time, but I enjoy getting my eyes on all my plants each day!!

HH, I’ve had so many people tell me they love watering by hand for the same reason! #PlantLover ;)

Love the tip about running the first part of hot water into a jug so I can use on my plants. My tip would be to get a rainbarrel and use the runoff from the gutters to water your plants….at least that’s what I do for half of my garden.

I love that too! I always use the water from washing salad greens, so not the rest?! Rain water is even better!

I water my plants in the late afternoon!

we spent money on garden mats last year and it made a difference with the watering, the plants did not dry out as quickly and the weeds were down to a minimum. We always water in the evening when it is cooler as we have well water and it is very cold coming up from the ground! Thanks for the chance to win this giveaway. Some amazing prizes TY!

I would love to have these as part of our little homestead’s tools. We’re working at going off the grid and using non-gasoline/electric tools. These would be a great help! Thank you.

When I need hot water, I run the water into my watering can instead of letting it go down the drain. I now have water for my plants.

I water early morning or later afternoon.

I don’t have a green thumb but my husband does, he is always outside landscaping the house.

I converted an old garbage can to a rain barrel (with my husband’s help) so I can always water my veggie garden and I put one at the front of the house this year for the hydrangeas. I also bought a hose reel that is water powered to retract and it pushes the water out into whereever you put the hose so I can keep the herb garden and other beds adequately watered as well without wasting water!

I always have to remember when I’m watering my garden that we have passive water and it has a lot of dirt and debris in it–as much as I want to use a soaker hose, it would just never work! These tools will be really helpful when I’m watering from my potted plants from the house water!
